And that's enough of that

Well, that was a receptacle of mirth, but it's time to draw the Monkey Fluids 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour/Last Desperate Gasp to an end. I said I had three or four months worth of new comics four and a half months ago, so I figure that's not a bad run for a quick hit of nostalgia bait.

Thanks for the views - time to end this the only way it was ever going to end:

The sad fact is that after twenty years of this, it’s all Timmy knows anymore. He’d pray for death, if he still remembered what those words mean.

A different kind of solvent abuse

Not content with gluing Timmy’s knees together, the devious Professor Pongo now sought to affix his head to the back of his jacket. If she wasn’t careful, Gracie would end up with her hand stuck to the poor boy as well.

It's a new month, which means a new Monkey. This is the law and the whole of the law.

2 Monkey 2 Fluid

"No, Bishop Bobo - I said you're supposed to anoint him with your chrism!" Prayer or no, Timmy's hepatitis wouldn't be clearing up any time soon.

So, what happened was, last year I spent a few weeks "remastering" all the images here, after links to the old ones started breaking. And, nostalgia being what it is, I thought "wouldn't it be fun to do this again for a bit? But why now?" And then I remembered that I started originally in May of 2006, which makes this month the 20th anniversary.

I had a bunch of images that I never got round to using the first time, and I've never been against re-using old images more than once, so I've flexed my atrophied captioning muscles to crank out some more of these... things. I figure I've got enough new comics for three or four month's worth - let's enjoy it while it lasts.

I prefer au revoir

Time to call it a day, I'm thinking. It's been two-and-a-bit years and two-and-a-bit hundred comics and I'm just plain out of Funny. My, what times we've had, what with the japery and the wit and the horse-fucking and what have you. Memories I'll cherish and so on and so forth.

Thanks for reading, and for the comments -- I'll be back with another thing another time, as is my wont.

So that just leaves one thing:

Because Timmy fucked his sister - that's why.

And now you know.

Obvious Week II: This Time, It's Personal

'Spanking the monkey' means wanking. You find this humouous.

Time once again for the cavalcade of... stuff that is Obvious Week. For those who don't remember the last one, Obvious Week occurs when the build-up of blatantly obvious punchlines (the kind I try to avoid) threatens to overwhelm me, and I'm forced to vent them safely in a controlled environment. Substituting quality for quantity, you get one every day this week.

"Up"

Not content with providing compelling genetic evidence for evolution, the godless liberal apes began performing abortions on demand.

Credit where it's due: The title and content of today's post was inspired by child educator and recreational abortionist Apathy Jack.

Chimp Justice

The Professor thought that the park was an ideal grooming location, but he hadn’t reckoned on Bimpo the Vigilante Chimp. His throwing darts found their mark, and within moments both paedophile and prey were paralyzed from the eyeballs down. Bimpo smiled and returned to the trees. He’d leave this for the police to sort out.

Just to keep you on your toes, this time I referred to a monkey as a chimp! And I laughed when I did it!!

Hang on -- March 20. That date sounds familiar... Why, a year ago today it was March 20 as well! And that was the day that this all started. What I'm getting at here is that today is Monkey Fluids' first birthday. Hasn't he grown?

As is becoming traditional, I will celebrate this anniversary by buggering off for a while. I'm humouristically pooped -- frankly, I'm surprised I made it this far. I need to take some time off, find some new source materials, think up some new paedophile gags and generally sort things out (did I mention that I've just bought a house?) I'll be back in a while, most likely.

If you're new, have a look around -- there's a year's worth of archives over on the right there. If you're not, keep an eye on that RSS reader...

Fan Art #1

A Monkey with a jar of Fluids.

My birthday present from forensic gynaecologist and part-time sexual Tyrannosaur, RSJS: a kilt-wearing, top-hatted monkey with accompanying fluids.

Comic #100: Everything New is Old Again

The treacle had been deployed - in moments, a swarm of flesh-eating wasps would exact Gracie’s terrible revenge on Timmy, but everyone would blame Kilty McChimp, the lovable Caledonian ape. Feigning horror, she congratulated herself on the perfect crime...

So this is number 100. More or less -- the count gets a bit messy when you decide whether or not to include ones like this or this. Regardless, I say this is the century comic and my word is law.

I was thinking about packing it in once I reached 100, but then you fuckers start saying things like:
In recent months, Monkey Fluids ... has risen from the muddy depths of the web to become one of the best satirical and pseudo-educational comic strips out there.
And, well, my ego's just too big to pass that sort of stuff up. I will, however, take a short break (I'm thinking a week or two) while I take a breather and work on the next hundred fifty bunch. When I return, I'll probably cut the posting frequency back to two a week as well.

Your instructions while I'm gone are twofold:
  1. Learn how to use an RSS reader -- they're built in to all the modern browsers. That way, you won't have to keep checking the site to see if I'm back. There's that syndication link for the LiveJournal-inclined also.
  2. Nominate, in the comments for this post or via e-mail, your favourite comic out of the first hundred. The CafePress merchandise could do with updating, and I want to know which designs are most popular...
Right, back in a bit.

Friday I'm in Love

It's Friday and I really can't be bothered. Especially when they make it this easy for me:

Too easy.

I'm thinking I may have to have a sequel to Obvious Week: No Comment Week. I have a few images like this one, where the only suitable caption would be a sardonically raised eyebrow -- do they have a smiley for that?

Obvious Week: It Begins

OK, so I like to think I manage to avoid using the obvious jokes when coming up with this stuff (unless it's, y'know, really funny), but a man has limits. In the interests of getting it all out of my system, the theme for this week shall be "The Most Obvious Fucking Caption a Body Could Come Up With". Substituting quantity for quality, I’ll put something up every day. Your poor, poor bastards.

The monkey tips fluid on little boy's head. Fluid is semen maybe yes.

More Monkey Madness

As X32 tipped the sulphuric acid over Little Timmy, it became apparent that he was an Evil Monkey, like all of the Subjects before him. Even as she ran to gas him, Gracie knew that the experiments must continue. One day. One day...

Sorry, did I mention that I fully intend to use each picture over and over again? Hence the request for alternate captions -- why make up content when I can get you proles to write it for me?

It Begins

'For God's sake, Timmy, stop it—you know that monkey has AIDS' 'Shut your bitch-hole! I need this!'

The picture that started it all. Seriously -- it's a monkey in a kilt and top hat, pouring goo onto a young boy's head. You can't make that shit up.

Anyway, the first few are up now. I plan to update twice a week -- say, Tuesday and Friday? Less if I get lazy, more if I come up with something that's just so damn hilarious I can't wait to foist it on you. Comments are enabled, by the by -- your suggestions for alternate captions are always welcome...
